Stones: Showing superb color and good clarity (lightly included), these approximately .80ct each demantoid garnets show the signatory horse tail inclusions for stones from the Ural mountains. Green garnets from this region are exceedingly rare

Hallmarks: None. Style of construction and presence of Russian stones indicate the possibility of a Russian origin. Tested 14k

Antique Jewelry, Estate Jewelry. Circa 1890s, 14k, possibly unmarked Russian. Set with .80 carat demantoid garnets in hand fashioned gold settings, these antique earrings are gorgeous and rare. The stones are vibrant and lush in color, typical of better antique material from the Ural mountains and the settings are charmingly detailed right down to the handmade nuts. Excellent condition.
