Antique Jewelry, Estate Jewelry. Circa 1890s, 14k. This finely made 14k gold Victorian locket features hand engraved detail on the front and back. The style is charmingly romantic with an interesting chic look to it. Excellent condition.

Remarks from Lawrence Jeffrey: "The motifs on this locket have an interesting depth. Centered on the front it has strapping that forms an eternity knot with a pair of floret and leaf swags on either side, all over a repeated floral background. On the back we see a continuation of the straps with an interestingly shaped cartouche for engraving -- also all over a repeated floral background. Quite a bit of action packed into such a small locket." SOLD
