Antique Jewelry, Georgian. Circa 1800-30s, tested 22kt, English-Italian. This lovely Georgian necklace can be converted to become two bracelets. The hand made foliate motif elements are set with cabochon garnets and suspended on a pair of flexible woven gold cords. These necklaces are found during the late Georgian period in England. Although there is some argument among scholars as to where there were made, many attribute manufacture to Italy. Due to the delicate nature of their construction, they rarely survive intact. This piece can be worn carefully. Excellent condition.
