Designed by the renowned architect Alessandro Mendini, these bold cufflinks are a reflection of the new direction he helped to forge in post modern Italian design. Tannler was widely considered the finest atelier producing jewelry in Switzerland at that time. Their superb designs and meticulous fabrication set the bar for three generations of goldsmiths. If you look carefully, you can see that the black areas are not just applied color. They are separate pieces carefully inserted. It gives the piece a powerful, visual authority. Excellent condition.
