Signed Jewelry, Estate Jewelry. Circa 1950s, 18k, Baltensperger, Zurich, Switzerland. This fifties brooch has overtones of the Japanese taste mixed with art nouveau and secessionist motifs. From the aesthetic vantage of half a century later Baltensperger mixes these periods together like paint on the artist's palette. The result is tastefully exceptional. Pieces from this Zurich workshop are always well made with special attention to hand work and thoughtful design. Excellent condition.
