Antique Jewelry, Estate Jewelry. Circa 1880s, 15k. Possibly Austrian or Swiss. This unusually wide bangle bracelet features fine engraved details as well as a diamond-set swag affixed to rings in turn held by buttoned tabs. All of which suggests a delightful sort of a buckle motif. Well made in 15k gold, it is double hinged for the ease of the wearer. These expensive methods of fabrication are characteristic of the better pieces form the Victorian period. Excellent condition. Noted; later safety chain added sometime after 1910.
